Arrogant 囂張 – En
Listening to this song in February 2020. Another song that became very popular late last year on TikTok (抖音) as shown in the video above… No official music video for the song as yet, only a version for KTV, which I’ve linked below, the Karaoke version with lyrics. Will link the official music video if they release one in the future.

Most Popular Mandopop Music Videos (Part 1) YouTube
I can’t believe January 2020 is almost over, where has the time gone so quickly? I was going to do a post on most popular Chinese movie songs of the last decade since The Oscars is just around the corner, but as usual I got sidetracked while trying to compile a list, LOL. While doing some research, I came across a list of the Chinese songs that are the most watched music videos on YouTube. The list was for the Chinese songs that first hit 100 million views in the last ten years. So I thought, why not, and immediately abandoned my initial intention of just listing movie songs! This list is arranged by the first 20 Mandopop songs to achieve 100 million hits by timeline (that is when they first attended 100 million views), so they are not the on-going list of the current most watched music videos which will continue to change day by day.

Say Meow Meow – Panpan & Fengfeng
To all the cat lovers… A little silliness for the new year, it is the year of the rat, so what about a song about rat’s “best” friend? The chorus will stick in your head, be warned, hahaha…

The Sound of Falling Snow
This song is the closing credits song from the 2018 Chinese period TV drama Story of Yanxi Palace I have never watched the 70-episode series, so the first time I heard the song was from the third season of the reality singing show Sound of My Dream I love the song, so I went and searched for the original track sung by Rover Lu (陸虎), and love that version too which fitted with the mood of the drama. If you have watched the episode of Sound of My Dream where J J Lin covered the song, you would have noticed he interpreted it differently. Well, that is because he was given the criteria which was to perform the song with a “dazzling, splendour, grandeur” arrangement

This is a TV show from Taiwan’s EBC network called “Half and Half”. I just watched this compilation episode of them discussing foreign cuisines in Taiwan with guests from around the world who all speak Mandarin. It is so funny so I thought I would link it here.
