Djinn Under Contract is a 68-episode vertical series that dropped on May 21, 2026 on ReelShort. This is something different from the ubiquitous plots of so many vertical series as it is a supernatural genre with a genie as the central character. Among all the recycled tropes of vertical series, this is also one of the few that reverses the gender focus being that the male lead is the one that is being treated badly by the female lead. Only one other vertical drama that I’ve watched has this same plotline which is America’s Favorite Ex-Husband from 2025.
