The Producer 接招吧！製作人 (a.k.a. Mr. Hito) is a 12-episode Taiwanese drama series about the Mandopop music industry which premiered on August 28, 2026. The English title was previously known as Mr. Hito before the change to The Producer for the premiere.
When an aspiring music producer teams up with a veteran mogul, the unlikely duo sets out to conquer the Mandopop scene.
Around year 2000, Liao Miao-Chün 廖苗君, who just graduated university, accidentally became the assistant for ace music producer Wu P’ei-Tsu 吳培祖. Miao-Chün is resilient but reckless; Wu is talented but hard to please. With different famous singers as their client, this funny pair of mentor and mentee is bound to create new sparks they never imagined. Through conflicts and compromises, the two face the challenges together to shoulder the responsibility and sense of mission as “the producer”.
