Secret Relationships 비밀 사이 is a 115-episode Korean BL webtoon by McQueen Studio which was serialized from April 21, 2020 on Kakao Webtoon and completed on November 28, 2022. A revised version of the webtoon with revised content for some episodes including 5 new episodes of a side story was released on October 14, 2024 and completed on November 12, 2024. This year a 12-episode live-action drama series adapted from the webtoon was released on February 27, 2025 in South Korea. The OST of 3 songs are the same for both the webtoon and the drama series (See update below for the OST of the live-action series).

You Are the Apple of My Eye 그 시절, 우리가 좋아했던 소녀 is a Korean coming-of-age film which premiered at the 29th Busan International Film Festival on October 3, 2024. It has its general theatre release in South Korea on February 21, 2025. The film is the latest remake of the 2011 hit Taiwanese film You Are the Apple of My Eye 那些年，我們一起追的女孩 following a Japanese remake (You Are the Apple of My Eye あの頃、君を追いかけた) in 2018, and a Thai remake (My Precious รักแรก โคตรลืมยาก) in 2023. All the movie adaptations were based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Taiwanese author Giddens Ko.

Penguin Girl 命中註定那頭鵝 is a Taiwanese film which made its premiere at the Kaohsiung Film Festival 高雄電影節 in Taiwan on October 12, 2024. This romantic comedy will have its general theatre release in Taiwan on White Day 白色情人節, March 14, 2025. The new movie is an adaptation of the 24-minute short film of the same name from 2022 by the same scriptwriter and director, Yang Yuyu 楊宥瑜.

Mafia Lover is a 20-episode British vertical BL series that was first released on January 31, 2025 (?). This is the fourth English language vertical BL series from DramaBox, so now we have 2 mafias, 1 secret agent and 1 CEO English BL stories from the app. Hopefully next they can expand on the type of stories in terms of occupation of the protagonists… By the way, season 2 of My Secret Agent Husband is also out now, although I haven’t watched it yet…

Very little information about this miniseries but each episode is just about 10 minutes long, following in the footsteps of the typical Korean BL series runtime where the full series is about the length of a movie, LOL…

The Apothecary Diaries 2: MaoMao’s Monologues

Who else are enjoying The Apothecary Diaries season 2 at the moment? I love this anime series so much! We are up to episode 6 of season 2 at the moment and wow, this episode is just epic! Reading the light novel is one thing, but seeing how they turn it into anime action is up another level… Next week we will finally see the episode focusing on the emperor, since we’ve seen very little of him so far. Can’t wait! Apart from watching the anime, I am also watching the little mini theatres of chibi MaoMao’s giving us little trivia which are also very funny…

I am Married… But! 童話故事下集 is a 12-episode Taiwanese series which premiered on February 14, 2025. The Chinese title actually translated as Fairy Tales Part Two, and if you are wondering where is Part One, well there isn’t one in terms of the drama series! Part One is basically all the fairy tales with happy endings that we are familiar with, so this drama is just fictionally depicting what happened after the fairy tales…
