Love at the End of the World is an upcoming Filipino BL series. No premiere date has been announced yet (Update December 23, 2021: This series will premiere on December 30, 2021) but they have been putting out a lot of teasers lately and it looks like it is not going to be the ubiquitous innocent BL series we are used to, but more an 18+ TV series, or even more closer to a LGBTQ series than a BL series… It is an original series from GagaOOLala but I am not sure if it is part of their 10-film Queer Up The Volume series since they did not tag it as such? Anyway a song has been released from the OST and here it is…

See You After Quarantine? (Taiwanese Webdrama OST) 網絡劇《隔離後見個面，好嗎？》主題曲插曲
See You After Quarantine? 隔離後見個面，好嗎？, or SYAQ, is a new 10-episode BL drama from Taiwan that will premiere on September 17, 2021. It is another Taiwanese (KKTV) and Japanese (Video Market & Rakuten TV) co-production BL series and its Japanese title is 《隔離が終わったら、会いませんか？》. The screenplay was again written by Taiwanese screenwriter/author, Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜, who also penned some of the Taiwanese HIStory BL series and the recent WBL series.

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas (Part 6) – Best of 2020-2021
Last year I did a post on the Douban ratings 豆瓣評分 of Thai BL dramas that had been aired up to about August of 2020. I am continuing the listing this year concentrating on the BL dramas that were broadcast from about June, 2020 to August 2021. This time I am including TV shows from other countries as well. Just a note that some of the new shows that are airing at the moment are still too new to get any ratings yet, so I have to leave those shows out of the current list. Again this is by no means an exhaustive list especially BL dramas from the Philippines and Vietname as I don’t really follow shows from these countries yet and also many of those shows are not known well enough to get any ratings at Douban, so only the shows I managed to find or know of, but it will give an indication of how popular these shows are.

A Certain Someone (Audio Drama Songs) 廣播劇《某某》主題曲
A Certain Someone or Mou Mou 某某 is a BL novel written by Mù Sū Lǐ 木蘇里. It is a high school campus story involving 2 straight-A students, and almost step-brothers. If you like BL novels like Saye 撒野, or Bloom of Youth 輕狂 by Wū Zhé 巫哲, I think you will enjoy this novel too. There are now 2 seasons (season 1 in 2020 & season 2 in 2021) of audio drama based on this novel and below are a few songs from the audio drama…

Bite Me ส่งร้อนเสิร์ฟรัก is a new 10-episode Thai BL series that will premiere on August 29, 2021. It is based on the novel Grab a Bite ส่งร้อน เสิร์ฟรัก written by Sammon, who is also the author of the novel Manner of Death which was adapted into a TV series that aired late last year.

Mr. Dior 迪奧先生 (Audio Drama Song)
Mr. Dior 迪奧先生 written by Lv Ye Qian He 綠野千鶴 is an extremely funny BL novel that I’m reading at the moment. It is set in the near future when mobile phone is obsolete and people are now implanted with a data chip in their brain that replaces the phone and can be controlled through a device they wear like a wristwatch. The only problem is that now everyone must be careful not to get their head bumped or hit as that could cause severe problem with the data chip and their brain wiring function.

Random Ramblings on BL Novels – Top 50 Chinese BL Novels
Jinjiang Literature City 晉江文學城 is a Chinese website for self-publishing and serialising novels online targeting female writers and readers. It was established in 2003 and is now the largest Chinese ebook site with about 80% market share of all online Chinese novels. In the last few years, many of the bromance TV series in China were adapted from the BL novels published at Jinjiang.

Light (Taiwanese Short Film OST) 網絡短片《小光》主題曲
Light 小光 is a new LGBTQ short film from director Adiamond Lee 鑽石 who has directed other notable BL series such as Dark Blue and Moonlight 深藍與月光, HIStory: Obsessed 著魔, and Jump the Boy! 撲倒吧！男孩. It is also the fifth of the 10-film GagaOOLala LGBTQ series that will premiere on August 13, 2021. The 44-minute short film revolves around the story of an undercover cop and a male prostitute. The theme song is a duet sung by Afalian Lufic 盧學叡 and Derek Lin 林重鹹…
Afalian is from the Amis group 阿美族, an indigenous Austronesian ethnic community in Taiwan. He became prominent in 2007 after he took fourth place in the first season of the singing competition, One Million Star 超級星光大道. In 2019, he also released a LGBT song, Who Am I 我是誰. The other singer, Derek, is a Taiwanese YouTuber.
