The Boy and I Who Will Break Up in 100 Days 100日後に別れる僕と彼 is a 10-episode Japanese BL series that premiered with its first two episodes on May 22, 2026 during an advanced screening event in Tokyo. It was officially released on the early hours of May 27, 2026 in Japan and the same day internationally. It is adapted from the novel of the same name by Asahara Naoto 浅原 ナオト.
Yuma Kasuga and Itsuki Hasegawa go viral on social media and are seen as the ideal same-sex couple. Hoping to help more people understand the lives of LGBTQ+ partners, Yuma agrees to take part in a documentary. However, before filming begins, the two have already broken up. To complete the shoot, Yuma convinces Itsuki to keep playing the role of a loving couple. But what does the camera truly capture: real happiness, or a carefully staged lie? One man longs to be the perfect partner, while the other is suffocating under the weight of an idealized relationship. Add to that a director who has no idea what is really going on, and this 100-day documentary becomes more than just a record of their lives. Is it a countdown to their final breakup, or the beginning of something new? Can they finally face the truth in each other’s hearts?
