Clash of Ice and Flame is an ongoing (?) AI animated vertical BL series that dropped around May 5, 2026 on iDrama. It is currently up to 39 episodes, but feels like there may be more episodes to be released? Once again it is another ice-hockey drama, LOL, how many more ice-hockey series are we going to get this year! Oh, by the way, there is another non-BL vertical series called Ice and Flame with real actors, so don’t get confused…
It has come to the point in the last few months that many series with real actors are now using AI thumbnails for their series on YouTube! WHY!!! So crazy, so how to tell if a series is AI animated or not? Apart from the obvious like they are too perfect looking and don’t look real, or the running scenes are very anime-like, there are others… If there is a specific feature on someone’s face or body, like a mole, a wound, bandages, or tattoos, they don’t stay there consistently, it has been a delight on my part when watching AI series to look for inconsistency in them, LOL… A mole will move from one side of the face to the other, bandages will have different shapes from one moment to the next, tattoos appear and disappear, and have different designs from one frame to the next! Also after watching quite a few AI series, I have noticed one scene every AI series has, that is a camera shot moving close to someone’s throat, and voilà, the exaggerate swallowing movement of Adam’s apple, LOL…
