Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Off Limits 안경을 벗으면 회장님이 위험합니다
Off Limits 안경을 벗으면 회장님이 위험합니다 (Korean title translated as The Chairman is in Danger if He Takes Off His Glasses) is a 50-episode Korean vertical BL series that dropped on September 16, 2026 on Shortime and iQIYI. Believe it or not, this live action vertical series is a remake of an AI-animated series Don’t Call Me President in Bed 위아래의 밤 released on iQIYI just a couple of months ago on July 11, 2026. It is mind-boggling to think that we have reached a stage now there are enough AI-animated series popular enough for them to be remade into live action series! Just a year ago, we were getting the reverse happening of live action series being remade into AI-animated series, how quickly time flies…

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Taste of You
Taste of You is a 60-episode western vertical BL series that dropped on September 11, 2026 on Vigloo and Shortime. It is also spelled as Tastes of You for this BL drama to differentiate it with the straight vertical drama with the same title of Taste of You on AltaTV which was released last year… This is the first vertical series release from Showbite, a new microdrama label from the Korean film and content studio, Showbox. This vertical drama is also the second BL collaboration for actors Jonathan Barcelos and Alexander Morel who were both in another vertical BL series Love Hits Like His Right Hook from early this year…

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Honey Cut
Honey Cut is the second of the Lyonesse Trilogy vertical series based on the novel by Sierra Simone which will drop on September 15, 2026 on ReelShort. Once again, as I’ve mentioned in the post for Salt Kiss (the first of the Lyonesse Trilogy), this is NOT strictly a BL series, but a LGBTQ+, MMF (Male-Male-Female) microdrama series with bisexual polyamorous triad (ménage a trois) relationship dynamic.

Strangers 甲乙丙丁 – Jess Lee 李佳薇
A smash hit single at the moment from Malaysian singer Jess Lee 李佳薇 with the mandopop hit, Strangers 甲乙丙丁 (Chinese title can be directly translated as A-B-C-D). The hit song has been covered by many other singers since its release in early July. She has also released a Cantonese version of the song early this month since Malaysia has a large Cantonese speaking population too. The song also has a longer alternate name 甲乙丙丁 – 你我怎麼兩清 which can be translated as A-B-C-D, How Can We Settle Our Differences?
