Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Burning Desire ปรารถนารักต้องห้าม
Burning Desire ปรารถนารักต้องห้าม 烈火情人 is a 55-episode Thai vertical BL series which will drop today, April 30, 2026, on Shortime and iQIYI.
Update May 30, 2026: OMG, there is an AI version of this series called My Ex Became My Stepmother แม่เลี้ยงคนนี้ คือแฟนเก่าของฉัน that came out just a couple of weeks ago! What’s the point of it, even worst is that it listed the two leading actors from Burning Desire as the “actors” in this AI version also! I suspect all these AI dramas came out of China, and with a title like that, it makes it sound like it is not BL… Does any AI dramas go through censorship in China?

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – OMG! My Snow White is a Man!
OMG! My Snow White is a Man! is a 30-episode AI western BL series that dropped on April 15, 2026 on StoReel. I guess it is inevitable since AI is slowly creeping into many aspects of our life, so as more and more AI animated series are being produced in the past year is not that surprising.

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – The Mafia King’s Contract Groom
The Mafia King’s Contract Groom is a 28-episode AI vertical BL series that dropped its first episode on Series Vision in December 22, 2025, well, that is the earliest appearances of the drama that I know of… It then dropped in full around January 16, 2026 on MoreShort, and it has just landed on GoodShort as well just recently in early April. I have resisted watching AI dramas before but I finally watched this one yesterday and I have to admit it is quite funny, very anime-like. You have to treat AI dramas as a new form of animation, well basically that is what it is, except it is animated as “real-life action” rather than a drawn animation.
