Pucked by My Hockey Rival 被我的冰球對手撞進心裡 is a 32-episode AI animated BL series that dropped around May 6, 2026 (?) on DramaWave. However I have come to realize that with AI series, it is very hard to find the original official source of premiere especially as I believe this is another Chinese animated AI series, and there are pirated copies all over the internet. They have released an OST on a Chinese music platform with music generated by AI too! I was perplexed about whether to make this post under the OST or Random Ramblings heading, but since the music are all AI generated, I have decided that they are not real music with no actual composers or singers, so in the end I have decided to put this under the Random Ramblings heading… However I will provide the links to the OST below for anyone interested…
There are a plethora of ice hockey, or inspired by Heated Rivalry, vertical dramas being released recently after the success of Heated Rivalry, whether they are with real actors, or AI animated, they are all becoming very samey, LOL… I have already done a couple of western BL vertical series inspired by Heated Rivalry with real actors just recently, but there are also quite a few non-BL ones… As for the AI generated BL, Pucked by My Hockey Rival is not the only one released recently, there is another AI one called Clash of Ice and Flame on iDrama which has no ending so far! My bet is they are testing the waters to see if it can attract viewers or not, before releasing more episodes… To be honest, I found both these two AI-animated series just following the recycled plots of most vertical dramas with real actors which is rather pointless methinks, maybe with more daring NSFW scenes to attract eyeballs, LOL… On top of that, one character in Pucked by My Hockey Rival is so dense, and not getting any hints from the other guy, that it became increasingly hard to watch, especially as his character also literally shouts and punches from the beginning to the end! All in all, it ended up for me to spot the inconsistencies in the animation to keep myself entertained, LOL… So here’s one for you to look out for, can you spot the inconsistency in the love letter? I think AI series should create plots which have fantasy elements that cannot be done with real actors, or scenes or stories that need CGI like in the movies but done with AI in vertical series. For example there is a new BL one just released about Greek gladiators which I am looking forward to watching…
